Millions of K10 Coffee brewing machines summoned up by Keurig

26th dec14 – (CPSC) Consumer Product Safety Commission have announced injuries happened because of Keurig K10 model. This model was previously been known as B-31. We all celebrated our Christmas this week but some people might get hurt because of the fault which machine has.

CPSC made decision for recalling all the model no. of K10 (known as B31) for the safety of the consumers. It is been reported that around 25 cases have been registered in which 17 are the minor burns. This recall is only for these models other models are perfectly well.

On an average around 550,000 in Canada and 59 million in US of Keurig K10 have been traded from December 2009 – July 2014. The reports say that these models are having a serious problem which can cause injuries such as burns due to the hot water spray which occurs when machine is working. Here are some safety tools to be applied before using such model to avoid any injuries:

  • Maintain proper distance from the brewer when using the machine.
  • Avoid children to use it.
  • Do not endorse more than 2 cups of coffee at a time.
  • Try not to fill more water in capacity jar.
